Merchandiser

We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the entire process from receiving a buyer’s order to ensuring the finished garments are produced and delivered on time, at the required quality and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with international buyers, buying offices, and customers regarding orders, styles, quantities, prices, and delivery requirements.
• Receive and review buyer tech packs, specifications, artwork, and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with design, product development, sourcing, production, quality, and shipping departments.
• Develop and follow up on samples, including proto, fit, size-set, pre-production, and shipment samples.
• Prepare and maintain costing sheets, order details, and production-related documents.
• Source and follow up on trims, accessories, labels, and packaging materials.
• Monitor production schedules to ensure orders are completed according to the agreed delivery date.
• Follow up on fabric and trim approvals and resolve production-related issues.
• Coordinate with the quality department to ensure garments meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor order status from development through final shipment.
• Communicate regularly with buyers and provide updates on production progress.
• Identify potential delays or production problems and take corrective action.
• Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure goods are dispatched according to the buyer’s requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of orders, approvals, sample comments, and production updates.

Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years practical experience as Merchandiser in apparel industry.
• Diploma or degree in Apparel, Fashion, Textile, Merchandising, or a related field.
• Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and apparel supply chains.
• Good understanding of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and quality requirements.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good English language skills, particularly for communicating with international customers.
• Excellent follow-up, coordination, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and email communication.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
